Freeze-dried side hustle makes this vendor a ‘Happy Man’
SPRINGFIELD — West Springfield resident James Brooks has a difficult day job.
“I see a lot of bad things during the week,” he said.
Brooks works as a registered nurse in the operating room at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
“We do a lot of transplants and trauma,” Brooks said.
It was about three years ago when Brooks was looking for an alternative way to make a living, a “side hustle” as he calls it.
That’s when he came up with the idea to produce freeze-dried foods.
